Thoughts of The Week

Where are you planted?

Jesus calls us into dynamic community with Him where both the individual and the corporate are fruitful. Where are you planted?   Jesus said ‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

This Lenten time – how can we be sacrificially generous to those around us?

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

The Fruit of the Spirit…

We recognise a good fruit tree by the quality of the fruit it produces. The apostle Paul wrote this ‘the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control (Galatians 5:22-23). If you were a tree – what kind of fruit would you produce?

Always Have a Mind to be Kind

When going around your daily life, it is important to remember to always have a “mind to be kind”. Always think to yourself, have I been kind to someone today. Somedays we may just not feel in a good place and wonder why we should try this, but remember, there are always others having a bad […]
