Start of Term Arrangements – September 2021

We are looking forward to welcoming pupils back to school in September.

Pupils will return on their nominated day and time as per their tutor group on the tables listed. Once pupils attend their slot, they will remain in school until the end of the school day with normal lessons, and all following days will then be normal start and end times. Timetables will be issued from the testing centre area, so all pupils including those without consent will access school via the test centre route to collect this.

Year 7 and Year 12 will return on Tuesday 7th September 2021

Year 11 and Year 13 will return on Wednesday 8th September 2021

Year 8 and Year 10 will return on Thursday 9th September 2021

Year 9 will return on Friday 10th September 2021

Congratulations and Celebrations Year 11!!

We would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 students on their exceptional achievements this summer.  Once again we are absolutely delighted with the grades that Blue Coat students have been awarded which reflect their hard work, dedication and resilience in another unprecedented year.

This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, with a record number continuing their education in the Blue Coat Sixth form.  We look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.

A Level and BTEC Summer Success!

Congratulations to our Sixth Form students on their grades awarded today.  After a challenging year we are delighted with the results they have achieved.  Despite periods of lockdown, remote learning and uncertainty, Blue Coat students have once again risen to the challenge and performed exceedingly well.  Our students have once again demonstrated their hard work and resilience in achieving exceptional results.

Once again we are delighted with those students whom have been successful in gaining places to study at top universities including Cambridge, Warwick, Leeds, Durham and Imperial College London. Blue Coat students move on to specialise in a wide variety of fields including Maths, Music, English, Science, Geography, History, Medicine, Nursing, Law, HR, Engineering, Graphics and Product Design.

We wish them all success in their future careers as they start university, apprenticeships and the world of work and are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.
