Appeals

Blue Coat School is regularly oversubscribed and as such many parents are not allocated a place.

If you apply for a Year 7 place and are unsuccessful in gaining a place your child’s name will automatically be placed on the waiting list which will remain in operation until the end of the Autumn Term. You must inform the Local Authority by the end of the Autumn Term if you wish your child to remain on the waiting list.

Once your child’s name is on the waiting list you have the right to appeal against the Governors’ decision not to admit your child. If you wish to appeal please contact Mrs Curtis via the contact us page.

Appeals are processed by the Diocesan Board of Education and are completely independent of Blue Coat School.
