Appeals

Blue Coat School often has more applicants than available places, so not all parents are guaranteed a spot.

If you apply for a Year 7 place and are not offered one, your child’s name will be automatically added to the waiting list, which remains active until the end of the Autumn Term. To keep your child’s name on the list, you must notify the Local Authority by the end of the Autumn Term. While your child’s name is on the waiting list, you have the option to appeal the Governors’ decision. To start an appeal, please reach out to Mrs. Curtis through the contact us page.

Please note that appeals are handled by the Diocesan Board of Education and are entirely independent of Blue Coat School.
