Prioritising Wellbeing: A Commitment to Our School Community
At Blue Coat, we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and their families to uphold our vision of “Living life in all its fullness.” We are committed to safeguarding our students and provide comprehensive support through local Family Hubs across Coventry, which assist with financial advice, debt management, parenting support, in-home family help, child and family health initiatives – including baby wellbeing clinics – and resources for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families.
In today’s digital age, we recognise the integral role that the internet and mobile devices play in our students’ lives; however, we also understand the associated risks. That’s why we take online safety seriously, implementing web filtering systems and educating students on how to navigate these challenges responsibly. All students are required to read and sign our ICT policy, outlining their responsibilities when using technology. To further support families, we recommend the Our Pact app, which helps parents keep their children safe online by blocking inappropriate websites and preventing uninstallation by the user without parental consent. Together, we create a safe and nurturing environment at Blue Coat, fostering growth and resilience in our community.
