Why is enrichment important?

Our enrichment programme at the sixth form has been designed with our school vision at it’s heart. As part of students post 16 experience we want to empower them to be able to “live life in all its fullness”. The enrichment programme provides opportunities and encourages students to participate in a breadth of experiences, utilising and developing their gifts and talents and ultimately enabling them to experience life in all its fullness.

Our Sixth form enrichment programme:

Here at Blue Coat Sixth Form, our enrichment programme is based around 5 strands: Give, Keep Learning, Connect, Be Creative and Be Active. Our students are encouraged to complete 25 hours of enrichment across each academic year, selecting activities from at least three of the five categories. Students are encouraged to attend activities in school as well as seeking additional opportunities in the wider community.
