The Hudson-Wilkin Building

As part of the Council’s Education Sufficiency Strategy, which ensures that every child has access to a school place, we are pleased to announce that Blue Coat School has successfully increased its capacity by 30 pupils per year for two years, starting from September 2022.

To support the school in accommodating these additional pupils, the Council introduced a temporary sixth form block, which has now been replaced by the newly opened Hudson-Wilkin building. This state-of-the-art facility features six classrooms, toilet facilities, an office, and a plant room, providing a modern learning environment for students.

With the Hudson-Wilkin building now operational, we are excited to enhance the educational experience for our students. The temporary modular building will be removed, and the area will be landscaped to create an inviting outdoor space.

We will continue to update this page to keep you informed about any further developments.
