History makes a significant contribution to the curriculum at Blue Coat in each key stage. It plays a vital role in enhancing the wider educational needs of our students; developing knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes.
History at Blue Coat targets the five aspects of History:
- Chronological understanding
- Knowledge and understanding of events, people and changes in the past
- Historical enquiry
- Historical interpretation
- Organisation and communication
