Catch Up Premiums
What is Catch-up premium?
The Literacy and Numeracy Catch-Up Premium provides additional funding to support Year 7 students who did not achieve the expected standard in reading and/or mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2). At our school, this funding is used to offer targeted interventions, such as small group tutoring, one-on-one support, and specialized teaching resources. The goal is to help students strengthen their foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, ensuring they are well-prepared for future academic challenges.
The COVID-19 Catch-Up Premium is government funding aimed at addressing learning gaps caused by the pandemic and school closures. Our school uses this funding to provide extra academic support, including tutoring, additional resources, and wellbeing programs, to help students recover lost learning time. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to catch up and succeed academically despite the disruptions of the pandemic.
